i think he's never taken note of the independent record stores that Tower records has put out of business...
as far as "artists can't make a living", he should really take a moment and try to understand what he, himself, is saying. want to know why artists can't make a living? look inside the industry for that one. if they're lucky, they'll get a couple of pennies per CD sale, and it's been like that for years...
